Last Thursday my husband and I ventured into a new development in North Vancouver B.C. called “The Drive“,for the past few months he has been bugging me to go in and have a look,it seems that he fancy’s the idea of having a condo in the city so that we have a place to stay when we don’t feel like rushing home.
We live in a little town called Gibsons B.C. on what’s called the Sunshine Coast, and in order to get to it from the mainland you need to take a 45 minute ferry ride. Now we both love where we live, but sometimes you just don’t feel like rushing to catch that ferry, which is a whole lot worse in the summer months due to the increase in tourists. That is where having a condo in the city would be a blessing.
So here we are touring this new development. At first I was keen on having a one bedroom and not a studio apartment, but the one bedroom felt more like a home, a place I wouldn’t want to leave, instead to my surprise I found myself completely enamoured with the studio apartment. All of a sudden I am dreaming of how I’m going to decorate this place, do I create a different look then what my current home looks like, or do I stay true to who I am? Do I want a bed in the space or a really great sofa bed? I currently am now so obsessed that I am not sleeping, way to go Mr. you have unleashed the” design demon”
Studio apartments require a lot of creativity. I’m looking at this as a getaway space, but their are a lot of people living in studio apartments full time and doing it with style So here are a few pictures of places that may be small but pack a lot of style. I’ll let you know what happens…………..
What do you think, could you live comfortably in a studio space?
