So while we are on the subject of chairs, do any of you remember where these pictures came from?
This was the 2011 Princess Margaret home as done by Lynda Reeves and her team from House and Home. Every year there is always one element or two that stick out to me,and last year it was this room. I was absolutely gobsmacked by those incredibly delicious chairs by Ralph Lauren. Ironically enough it’s called the “camp” chair,as if I would ever take that camping! Why?

That’s why baby,that is a lot of money sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows. But seriously now,don’t you think that chair is pure perfection,the leather is the most beautiful cognac, the detail with the tacks is gorgeous and the whole structure of the chair is beautiful,and I bet once you sit in it you wont want to get up. Now I know there is no way at that price anyone any day soon can afford to have one so here are a couple of alternatives for you to look at.
Martin safari chair $695.00
I think this is a pretty good alternative but I have to tell you I am not as crazy about the wood frame and at $695.00 a chair I can tell you there wont be any reason to fold it up and put it away!
Urban Outfitters Butterfly chair $199.00
That price is fantastic! But to tell you the truth if it is going to sit in my living room I still prefer a chair to look like it fits in with the decor and not something that looks like you brought it out for extra seating. But all in all not bad second choices to have,me on the other hand….. I need to save my money!
A.K.A. the butterfly chair, if I’m not mistaken. Just saw a preview of the Princess Margaret home of 2012, looks promising.
Amazingly, we just had a dream client buy the real thing for her cottage. We were so happy when she said yes as we both LOVE the RL chair.
