Colour Consultations

For several years I have been involved in the interior painting business and as a result have acquired a knowledge of color and painting products. I am a big fan and user of Benjamin Moore paints (preferably Aura) but have a love for other company’s colors as well such as Farrow and Ball and Pratt and Lambert which I always have custom mixed into Benjamin Moore paints.

We just finished the lower siding with the Chelsea Grey you helped pick for us. It is the perfect shade and tone that I was originally going for! I highly recommend Dawna’s expert opinion. She instantly knew where I went wrong with my first colour choice and was able to determin the look I was going for and find the perfect colour to execute it. Thanks Dawna! ~ Karla Shields, Gibsons

My current favorite colors from Benjamin Moore are:
REVERE PEWTER: a beautiful warm gray with ever the slightest hint of beige perfect for people who want gray but are afraid it’s going to be cold. Also pairs well with warm woods and lots of white trim and hits of black! I’m sure my clients are tired of me always using this color!!!
SIMPLY WHITE: Still a warm white but not quite as creamy as cloud white so no yellowy undertone to this color.Looks great in a modern setting and is currently the white I have through out my home.
ONYX: This is the black I go to all the time,it just has such a beautiful gray undertone to it so that there is no harshness to it; looks the best in flat.
WILLOW: by far the best chocolate brown out there! To many browns have undertones of purple or red in them. This one has gray which means that it is a great neutral and won’t compete with other colors.
KENDALL CHARCOAL: for a true charcoal this one is it. No blue undertone here, just charcoal! Looks great as an exterior color as well. Paired with pure white, this color is a stunner!
